Who We Are

The Health Strategy Group is a registered Scottish Charity No: SC 023736

The Health Strategy Group works with local people in Broomhouse and North Sighthill to promote healthy lifestyles and develop health projects in the area.

The Fruit and Vegetable co-op on Broomhouse Market can afford to sell low price fruit and vegetables because it is run by volunteers and is not for profit.

The shop is usually open:

We are however aiming to extend our opening times on a Friday once we have adequate Volunteer cover.

Anyone can join the food co-op – all you need to do is fill in a form at the shop and pay an annual fee of £1.00

VOLUNTEERING

Any member of the local community can get involved with the Health Strategy Group.  Our support worker works with the group and individuals to help them set up and run health related projects in the area.  If you have any ideas, call into the shop.

There are always opportunities to volunteer with the project:

There may also be opportunities to do health promotion work (e.g. help out at local health events or at healthy eating taster sessions in the shop). Call in to the shop for more information.
